Page 3's Lily on how she went from girl-next-door model to Daily Star favourite

The Daily Star is celebrating our favourite Page 3 girl this week – Lily.

Lovely Lily, who boasts a 24in waist and 32GG boobs, has captured Daily Star readers’ hearts over the years with her girl-next-door looks and eye-popping natural curves.

And fans will be delighted to know she will be modelling on Page 3 every day this week.

Our Lily, 24, has gone on from being an animal-loving tomboy to becoming one of the world’s most successful glamour models, with 2.8million followers on Instagram.

The star, from Loughton, Essex, became a Page 3 favourite after our photographer Jeany Savage spotted her working on the Chanel counter at upmarket London department store Harrods.

And modest Lily – who is regularly compared to her idol, swimwear model Kate Upton, by her fans – says even now she is astounded at her success.

“I am a little bit surprised that I became such a hit with readers,” she tells the Daily Star. “I never thought I was special. Modelling just happened for me after I was discovered, and it kept happening – so I just went with it.”

Lily’s incredible story started even before she was born, when her parents – an actress and bank worker – turned to IVF after struggling to conceive.

Both Lily and her brother were test-tube babies.

“I didn’t really understand what a test-tube baby was when my mum first told me about it,” she says.

“I didn’t think it was strange when I learned more, and I used to have a teddy bear from the hospital where I was born that celebrated me being one of the babies who had been successful.”

Growing up, she had a happy childhood as our exclusive snaps of her as a youngster show.

Despite having a pink bedroom, Lily says she was a “bit of a tomboy” as a child.

“My mum was into girly stuff which is why she decorated it like that, but I was a bit of a tomboy,” she says.

“I was in the Scouts and loved it. I went to the camps and could do all the knots but I definitely couldn’t do one now!”

Lily also says she was an animal lover, and had two cats growing up.

As an adult, she still loves animals, and has a cockapoo called Bruce who she brings along to her modelling shoots.

“I’m also getting a second cockapoo in a couple of weeks, and she is going to be part of the shoot family too,” adds Lily.

Glamour modelling wasn’t initially on the cards – in fact Lily wanted to be on the other side of the camera and studied photography at college after leaving school at 16.

“Because I studied photography, I’m really interested in that side of things too,” she says. “I think it helps having experience both in front and behind the camera.

“I have a real passion for it and love seeing the different styles of photography that each photographer I work with has.”

Lily then worked at a finance company, before taking the Harrods job.

After that she was discovered by Jeany, who took her first-ever glamour shoot for the Daily Star in early 2015.

“It all spiralled from there really,” says Lily. “I’d thought about doing underwear modelling before, but this started it all for me.”

Lily says her family are fully behind her decision to model full-time. “They are really proud of me,” she says.

“They said if I was going to have a go at being a model, I should do it properly and really work hard at it which I have.”

She puts her stunning figure down to her love of high-intensity interval training and GRIT workouts, which Lily has continued to do at home during lockdown.

“But I really miss going to the gym and doing weights,” she admits.

“Normally I would be travelling too – I like collaborating with different photographers around the world.

“Lockdown is probably the longest I’ve spent in England since I started modelling!”

Since joining Instagram a few years ago, Lily’s witty captions on her sizzling social media snaps, posted under the handle @bethanylilyapril, have seen her amass a huge number of followers and regularly get more than 100,000 likes.

“I never thought I’d get so many followers,” says Lily. “It all just happened one day!

But she puts her massive success down to the fact that she engages with her followers.

“I use Instagram the way it should be, in a social way. I usually reply to a lot of my comments,” she says.

“I’ve really focused on growing my social media accounts. I want to reach as many people as possible.

“I also talk to my fans every day, especially on my OnlyFans account.

“It’s a great way of keeping them engaged, as I can actually talk to them and it keeps it very personal.”

The Daily Star will always feel like home for Lily.

“Jeany and the team are like my family,” she says.

“I always enjoy going down to the studio and just hanging out with them. They’re such a nice group of people and I love chatting about life with them.”

Her favourite shoots she’s done with us have included a Wimbledon-inspired one, as well as the Christmas and Valentine’s Day themed photography sessions – and we know our readers have loved them too.

Lily adds: “I want to say thank you to all the fans of Page 3 for always supporting me.

“It’s really flattering that so many people want to see my pictures in the paper, and get in touch with me to tell me they like them.”
