Piers hits out at Donald Trump Twitter claims as he slams MP Lucy Allan

Piers Morgan has rubbished claimed that Donald Trump has unfollowed him on Twitter.

The Good Morning Britain branded the claims ‘Fake news’ as the rumours circulated online.

Piers, 55, hit back after one social media tweeted: “Trump has unfollowed Piers Morgan, love it.”

There were also claims that the US president had blocked Piers.

However, Susanna Reid’s co-star quickly slammed the claims, writing online: “Fake news.”

Piers also hit out at member of parliament Lucy Allan for liking the original tweet.

Witnessed by his 7.4million followers, Piers wrote: “British MP @lucyallan ‘liked’ a tweet stating as fact that President Trump’s unfollowed me on Twitter.

“He hasn’t, as she could have found out with one click of a button.

“But she couldn’t be bothered to do that. This is the standard of our elected officials.”

Ms Allan replied to the tweet writing: “Silly.”

Piers hit back: “Yes, it is. Get off Twitter & do your damn job, Ms Allan.”

The spat comes after Piers asked fans for help after he’s hit by 2,000 Ofcom complaints for ‘bullying’ minister for care Helen Whately on GMB.

Urging fans to back him last night, Piers tweeted: “Apparently nearly 2000 people have now complained to @Ofcom about me grilling Care minister Helen Whateley too ‘unfairly’ when she couldn’t answer even basic questions.

“If you think I should continue grilling ministers in the way I’ve been doing, please tell @OFCOM. Thanks.”

He later tweeted: “UPDATE: 2000 complaints to @Ofcom about me, 21,000 liking my response. Thank you Britain.”
