Rapper Dave didn’t hold back with his thoughts on the treatment of the NHS by the government as the health system becomes crippled by the coronavirus pandemic.
His rant comes as thousands of retired medical staff have returned to assist the NHS deal with the virus outbreak – with many healthcare professionals working seven days a week.
Taking to his Instagram page which boasts 1.5 million followers, the rap star hit out at the cuts to the National Health Service and also claimed that the government won’t care about medical staff when the Covid-19 pandemic is over.
He went on to question why NHS workers were not already being given perks such as free parking and a wage that they can live on and support a family with.

Dave’s mum has worked for the NHS throughout her life.
The Funky Friday hitmaker penned: “You wanna talk about selfish. Selfish is having a government that had the measures to stop an outbreak before it came but decided to prioritise other things.
“Selfish is the people who voted for the people destroying the NHS that everybody loves so much now.”

He went on to exclaim: “How the f*** can a country elect a party that’s cut it to the point of no return and in the same breath start talking about how much they’re behind it’s f***ed.”
The 21-year-old added that he supported the national applause for NHS staff last week and added that they deserve “free parking”, “wages they could actually live on”, “support” and “basic human f***ing respect”.
He finished his rant with: “This country is f***ed”.

Dave is no stranger to speaking out, using his BRIT Awards performance to call Boris Johnson a racist and demanded justice for the Windrush Generation and Grenfell Tower.
He also paid tribute to those that lost their lives in the London Bridge terror attack, claiming Jack Merritt his “brother in arms”.
Jack advocated for racial justice and prisoner rehabilitation.
