Susan Boyle looks glam for rare night out as BGT Christmas special is postponed

Britain’s Got Talent star Susan Boyle turned heads over the weekend as she was spotted out and about in London.

The 59-year-old singing sensation normally keeps a relatively low profile after catapulting to fame on the ITV talent show back in 2009.

Susan dressed to impress for her rare night out in the West End, accompanied by pals, as she rocked a yellow satin blouse and jeans.

Her top featured pussy-bow detailing on the neckline, which she further accessorised with a silver necklace and simple oval glasses.

Making sure to keep warm, Susan covered up by wearing a brown fur coat and a light grey woollen beret.

The Scottish songstress finished in second place on Britain’s Got Talent 11 years ago to winners Diversity.

Susan is still enjoying music success after over a decade, having released her eighth studio album in 2019.

She has built herself up quite the fortune and her net worth was reportedly estimated at a cool £22million in 2012, with the vocal talent selling 19million albums worldwide.

She famously auditioned for the show in front of Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan with her rendition of Les Miserables’ track I Dreamed A Dream.

Last year, Susan opened up about her plans to become a foster mother after saying she cannot adopt at her age.

Speaking on an episode of the Dan Wootton Interview podcast, SuBo said: “When things quieten down a bit I would like to get into fostering.

“I’m 58 so I’ve got something to bring my family home to. I’ve a lovely house, why not share it?

“I’ve got a couple who think the world of me. I love kids.

“I’ve never had any of my own, that’s my biggest regret, but I love kids.”

Susan, who still lives in her family home in West Lothian, is in the capital to perform at the BGT Christmas special, which was set to begin filming on Tuesday.

However, production has been forced to shut down after following a coronavirus outbreak on set.

Bosses have postponed production for the festive episode as a number of crew members are to self-isolate in accordance with government guidelines.

The outbreak has also reportedly forced two of the current judges into self-isolation as they wait their one test results having come into direct contact with one of the infected crew members.

A source told The Sun: “The judges will have to take a test before they can stop quarantining.

“The likelihood is they’ll come back negative, but they are taking no chances and can’t be too safe right now.

“It’s the last thing BGT bosses would have wanted on the first day of the new production.”

BGT boss Simon Cowell is currently recovering from a back injury after a biking accident in America earlier this year.
