The Chase was back tonight, with an old episode from 2016, with four quizzing hopefuls hoping to reign victorious over The Vixen.
24-year-old Brad, who had a penchant for musical theatre, was the second contestant to take on Jenny Ryan.
Brad revealed he would spend any potential The Chase winnings on new shoes as he “only owns one pair”.
And Brad seemed to be brimming with confidence about his chances of toppling the chaser, thanks to his distinctive habit.
Brad kept winking as he interacted with programme host Bradley Walsh.
This gesticulation certainly got viewers talking at home.
Taking to Twitter, one social networker remarked: “Did he just wink?”
While another continued: “The winking is a showbiz thing. He loves to wink at the audience.”
A third added: “Brad and that wink. Made my heart skip a beat!”
Despite his seeming confidence Brad was caught by chaser Jenny and had to wave goodbye the hopes of snazzy new shoes.
There was just one chaser left for the final chase on today’s programme.
Pippa, 51, and Julie, 34, were also caught by Jenny alongside Brad.
Therefore Matt, 40, had to go head-to-head with Jenny but came up short in the final round after scoring as rather meagre 12 points in the ultimate round.
It was reported today by The Sun that The Chase would be launching a special lockdown edition of the programme.
The new programme format will see a chaser ask 10 questions to fans online for them to answer.
Each of the mini episodes will be released at 6pm with chaser Jenny Ryan at the helm.
