The Chase viewers slam ITV show as fans spot 'epic question blunder'

The Chase fans returned to our screens this afternoon for the latest instalment of the ITV quiz show.

Host Bradley Walsh welcomed four new contestants to the show today for the first episode of the week.

The cheeky presenter was eager to see them get through to the final with some money in-hand.

Jenny “The Vixen” Ryan was in the hot seat tonight trying to prevent the hopefuls from going home with the cash prize.

Laura, Vicky, Stuart and Roger all took it in turns to take on the cash builder and later went head-to-head with The Beast in an intense round of general knowledge questions.

Bradley asked a question that was on the show last night as fans raged

One question in particular caused a stir amongst viewers as eagled-eyed fans noticed it appeared in last night’s edition of The Family Chase.

The offending question read: “What did English footballers wear for the first time at the 1933 Fa Cup Final?” with “numbers”, “shin pads” and “socks” being the choice of answers.

Before Laura got to answer the question, fans rushed to Twitter to slam the show for repeating questions.

One viewer moaned: “That question was on yesterday’s show too. It’s like getting back to the start of the Trivial Pursuit box.”

Another added: “This question was on yesterday’s show.”

A third penned: “The Chase using the same question twice in as many days?”

A fourth said: “Wasn’t that question about the 1933 fa cup final on yesterday?.”

While some viewers were left fuming, one Twitter user quickly pointed out that tonight’s show was a repeat from 2016.

Fans rushed to social media to point out the blunder, but the episode was recorded in 2016

The Family Chase is a special edition of the ITV quiz show in which four relatives team up and pit their wits against one of the finest quiz brains in the country, in the hope of taking away thousands of pounds.

The family version of The Chase returns to our screens on Sunday at 7pm.

The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5pm
