The Chase presenter Bradley Walsh wasn’t impressed by one contestant this evening, when quiz hopeful Claire stepped up to the plate.
With young children at home, the stay-at-home mum admitted she would love to use her winnings on a holiday.
To a sympathetic Brad, Claire explained that she was feeling a little sleep-deprived, having stayed up half the night to mind her little ones.
Later, when she squared up to face The Chaser Shaun Wallace, the conversation turned to another contestant, hunky barrister Geoff.
Brad started chatting about Geoff and Shaun’s upcoming quiz battle, as the two lawyers prepared to take each other on for the “mother of all showdowns”.
Left confused by Brad’s ramblings, Claire exclaimed: “Looks like you haven’t had much sleep either!”
Claire suggested Brad could do with some shut-eye
Bradley shot a withering look at the camera, miming fury over the sly jibe about his appearance.
Later in the show, Brad got his own back, as Claire chose “Billy Bragg” as her answer for a question about sausages.
She said: “Billy Bragg sounds like a kind of sausages.”

Snapping back, Brad asked: “You what?”
Before adding: “You need more sleep love!”
Luckily, there were no hard feelings between the double act, as Claire made it into the final with £6,000 in-hand.

Congratulating her win, Brad said: “I think you’re a good player Claire!”
As she returned to the panel, he added: “That’s it put your feet up Claire. Get your shoes off, settle back, you’ve made it.”
