This Morning's Holly Willoughby in hysterics as she drops racy innuendo

Holly Willoughby ended up in hysterics on This Morning after dropping a huge innuendo just a matter of minutes into Tuesday’s episode.

She and co-host Phillip Schofield were waiting to speak to actor Russell Crowe, and filled their time with looking at viewers’ pet pictures.

Phil introduced one This Morning fan’s Cockerchon, explaining that it was a cross between a Cocker Spaniel and a Bichon Frise.

Clearly loving the cute snap, Holly announced: “I love a Cockerchon.”

Immediately spotting the innuendo, Phil quipped: “Do you?”

As Holly turned red and held her notes in front of her face, Phil continued: “Two minutes past 10. If you’ve never watched the show before and lockdown’s driven you to this, then welcome, here you go.”

Through her giggles, Holly managed to say: “I hope Russell Crowe can’t hear this.”

But, much to her disappointment, when they did speak with the Hollywood star, he confirmed he’d heard the entire Cockerchon cock-up.

Viewers at home giggled along, with one tweeting: “Stead on Holly!”

While another added: “Holly having one of her usual childish moments because she’s said c***. Let’s hope that there aren’t a pair of tits on Phil Vickery’s bird feeder later.”

And a third laughed: “Really Holly, really,” and a string of crying-laughing emojis.

Soon the show continued as planned, though Holly was left cringing after Russell mentioned the Cockerchon incident too.

He was on the show to discuss his new film Unhinged, which is set to be one of the first films released after the coronavirus lockdown.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV
