Toff's Grandma fighting Covid-19 weeks after her Grandad died from the virus

Made In Chelsea star George Toffolo has told her her heartbreak after discovering her Grandma has coronavirus.

The I’m A Celerity… Get Me Out of Here! contestant spoken frankly to Kate Thornton about the difficult time for her family .

To make matters worse, Toff believes her grandma caught it from her Grandad who tragically died from Covid-19 in hospital earlier this month.

“We have had a bit of a difficult time as a family,” she told Kate’s White Wine Question Time.

Toff continued: “My grandfather passed away a couple of weeks ago.

“He will be put down as a coronavirus death.

“We knew he had it about ten days before he passed away, but my grandfather has been very ill for the last six months to a year and in and out of hospital, so in the end it was that.”

Tragically, Toff’s grandma its now fighting the virus after “catching it off him in the hospital”.

The TV regular continued: “When it all happened I thought it’s not going to come near me or my family and friends but I can’t believe how many people close to me and their family members – it doesn’t discriminate.

“I spoke to my grandmother yesterday and she’s turned a corner thank goodness so we are just concentrating on making sure she’s alright.

“She was actually having a glass of white wine so she must have turned a corner.

“If there’s a silver lining I’m hoping she’s got immunity now.”

At the time of publication 143,000 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the UK.

Tragically, there have been 19,506 deaths from Covid-19.
