Her post comes after the TV star hit out at “pale and doughy” Brits as she justified her tanning regime.

She spoke out to defend her love of sunbathing, revealing that at first glance she thought that Brit’s were “pale, doughy and pasty” with many not taking the opportunity to enjoy the rays enough.

In her The Sun column, she argued: “UV light raises our levels of serotonin, which can help to combat anxiety and depression.”

Ulrika continued: “Sunlight can help towards better sleep and strengthen your bones and — fun fact — as a consequence of sunlight, your body releases nitric oxide into your blood, which lowers your blood pressure.”
