Amanda Holden took a 400-mile round trip to visit her parents after receiving a distressing family phone call.
But a source claims the star is not set to receive a Covid fine by police.
The 49-year-old received the call on Friday afternoon and drove to near Bude in Cornwall from London.
The Sun reported her journey sparked fury in locals who accused her of endangering vulnerable residents.
Devon and Cornwall Police have warned visitors they face a fine.
However, a source told The Sun: “Officers turned up at her parents’ this afternoon to ask about the visit.
“As they left they said this would be the end of the matter.”

The star, who is set to turn 50 tomorrow, was seen getting out of a Mercedes at the home of her mum Judith, 71, and stepdad, Leslie, 75.
It is believed she had not seen them for a year due to Covid.
It’s reported she stayed overnight and left on Saturday.
Councillor David Parson has hit out over the allegations, saying: “Nobody should be travelling unless there is a damn good reason.”

A spokesman for the star said: “Amanda is aware that all families are going through difficulty during these turbulent times but received a distressing telephone call from her elderly father.
“On balance Amanda felt the round trip necessary to contain the matter at her family home.
“The situation has now been aided and Amanda is back in London.
“She did not act on a whim and has adhered to Covid rules every step of the way in all lockdowns.
“Her parents are vaccinated and, with Amanda testing weekly, she felt she was not putting them at risk.
“She did not come into contact with the public.”

He added to The Sun: “Amanda is aware of the travel rules and is devastated she had to break them on this one occasion.”
An onlooker told the paper: “She must have known what she was doing was wrong.
“People down here will be really angry. There is a feeling that, during the lockdowns, people have just been coming down to Cornwall as they wish, and putting local people in danger. So this type of behaviour really isn’t on.”
