From starting his career as a body builder to becoming one of the world’s most successful actors to grace the silver screen, Hollywood legend Arnold Schwarzenegger has certainly lived a colourful life in the public eye.
Though he was triumphant in the film industry, Arnold, 73, shocked the world when he later became the governor of California as a member of the Republican Party in 2003.
But now, old conversations about how he predicted that he would become the California’s governor 26 years prior has resurfaced.
The actor’s new biography entitled Arnold Schwarzenegger: The Life of a Legend written by sports and entertainment author Fiaz Rafiq has now given readers insight into these astonishing details.

Arnold’s ex girlfriend Barbara Outland Baker has now shared the conversation she had with Arnie 26 years ago and explained that she found it quite unusual at the time.
When asked what was the strangest conversation she had with the legend, Barbara explained: “And he’s sitting there talking – this would be 1977 or ’78. He said to me, ‘You just wait, I will be the governor of California.’
“And it came so out of nowhere. It was such an impossible thing to say, that you’d out of most people just laugh at him. I felt, because he was with Maria Shriver then, maybe he’s going to learn something about how to get into the political arena.

“It did take him more than twenty years or so to achieve this dream after he said that. But to think he predicted that he would be the governor of California, it was a shock.
She added: “I drove home that day thinking to myself, I don’t believe what I just heard. What if my ex-boyfriend becomes the governor of my home state?”
Barbara went on to add that anything Arnold said he was going to do, he was able to achieve it.
Ex partner Barbara has often spoken fondly about her relationship with the former governor and even published a book herself about their time together called Arnold and Me in 2006.
Arnold Schwarzenegger was the 38th governor of California from 2003 to 2011.
