Channel 4 news presenter Jon Snow, 73, and his wife Dr Precious Lunga have announced they have had a baby boy.
The happy couple confirmed the news via an heartfelt statement.
The child was carried by a surrogate and born on March 2, the happy couple confirmed.
The statement said: “Jon Snow and Dr Precious Lunga are delighted to report that on 2nd March we were delivered of a baby boy.
“In our desire to seal our now eleven years of marriage with a baby, my wife suffered numerous medical setbacks and miscarriages.

“Consequently, we will always be deeply grateful to our surrogate, who carried our embryo to term.
“Amid these challenging times, we feel doubly blessed to be able to celebrate our good fortune.”
As well as the new born, Jon has two daughters with ex partner Madeleine Colvin.
Jon and the human rights lawyer were together for 35 years before they parted ways.

In 2010 Jon and Lunga, who is a Zimbabwean academic tied the knot.
Jon is one of the most recognisable and iconic faces of British TV ever.
He is officially the longest-running presenter on Channel 4 News, which he has fronted since 1989.
Jon recently was forced to take a break from Channel 4 due to the pandemic.
The star admitted he is unsure when he will return after being forced to self-isolate for two weeks.
In a video posted online in March, he told fans: “Hi everyone, I’m still in self-isolation.
“I’m feeling good and I’m hoping to be back on Channel 4 news next week.
“The good news is I’ve been able to get back to trying to write my book, but failing, I’ve organised my tie collection and finessing my dance moves and all that stuff.”
