Soap fans love a good reveal, and Coronation Street delivered a long awaited one this week as Todd Grimshaw’s house of cards came crashing down.
Todd has manipulated all around him in recent months in order to win back his ex, Billy.
The couple recently moved in together and even got engaged with the wedding date set imminent.
But teenager Will, who Todd paid to help him split up Billy and former partner Paul Foreman, spilled the beans to Billy’s foster daughter Summer Spellman.
Paul was also given the shocking news. And revenge is a dish best served cold.
Paul switched on the laptops at the calendar launch party in Victoria Gardens. In true soap style, Todd’s confession video was played to the community, including his partner Billy.
Billy was horrified and later confronted Todd before he and Summer reported him to the police. This came after Paul was wrongly accused of stealing the heat pump for Billy’s half-way house project.
The shocked pair watched on as Todd left in a police car, leaving Billy heartbroken.
But Dan Brocklebank, 41, who plays Billy, reassured fans that the drama is all fictional. He and actor Gareth Pierce, 40, who plays Todd, are great mates away from the ITV set.
“See, we love each other really,” Dan shared on Instagram alongside a selfie of the pair smiling for the camera.
“We’ve even been camping together.. @garpierce @coronationstreet,” he added referring to a trip they took with some of their soap co-stars.
Dan and Gareth joined Tony Maudsley, Sue Cleaver and Julia Goulding for an outdoor getaway earlier this month.
Gareth also shared Dan’s post, simply writing: “Love you mate,” alongside various stickers reading ‘gone camping’ and ‘true bromance’.
