BBC Breakfast host Dan Walker has taken aim at the station’s “incredibly low tech” Olympics medal board.
The 44-year-old presenter was back on our screens on Saturday morning to bring the latest news from the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games with hockey gold medallist Sam Quek.
The dynamic duo gave an update on how Team GB has been performing at the major sporting event.
However, Dan couldn’t help but make a joke about the medal board they were using in the studio to keep track of the wins.
He took the opportunity to poke fun at the BBC’s “low tech” medal board, which he named “the Japan-easel”.
Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Sam said: “Dan, more medals today means one thing.”
“Is it time?” Dan asked, with Sam replying: “It’s time and it’s my turn as well. Yes!”
Dan asked the film crew in the studio: “Can we have a little shot of the Japan-easel?”
He laughed as he added: “Because in our high tech studio I love the fact that we’ve got this incredibly low tech board.”
The TV personality went on to encourage his co-star as she headed over to update the leaderboard: “We’ve seen the Japan-easel, all you need Sam is some music.
“What have we got today? Oh a bit of Bowie,” Dan remarked as the music began.
“Here we go. We’ve got four today Dan and we’re going to start off with a Bronze from yesterday.
“We obviously saw Bryony Page go in the trampolining final and she came away with a bronze. A big round of applause there.”
“Well done Bryony!” Dan exclaimed, congratulating the Olympic trampoline gymnast.
“Adds to the silver she got in Rio, so yes double Olympic medalist. Congratulations,” Sam added.
She continued: “Another bronze medal which we not long ago saw and that was in the windsurfing.

“22 years old,” Dan said, commenting on the athlete’s age, with Sam adding: “22 years young!”
“Come on team, let’s get a bit more shouting in here. Come on,” Dan said, encouraging the production team in the studio to cheer.

Moving on to the next achievement for Team GB, Sam told viewers: “Mixed triathlon, this was the first time it was in the Olympics.
“Of course Team GB took the very first Olympic gold medal in that, so big round of applause please.”
“Yeah!” father of three Dan shouted, leading the studio in a cheer for the success of the Olympians.
Sam went on to name the team members, Jess Learmonth, Jonny Brownlee, Gerogia Taylor-Brown and Alex Yee.
Dan also congratulated Kathleen Dawson, Adam Peaty, James Guy and Anna Hopkin from the mixed swimming medley and also Freya Anderson who was part of the semi-final race.
