Dolly Parton wows as she recreates iconic Playboy cover for husband's birthday

Dolly Parton has shown she’s still got it as she dressed up as a Playboy bunny to celebrate her husband’s 79th birthday,

The 75-year-old country singer recreated her iconic Playboy cover shoot as a special present for her husband of nearly six decades, Carl Dean.

She took to social media to show off her incredible outfit, with her ample assets front and centre in the black bustier which accentuated her tiny waist.

She wore black bunny ears on top of her signature blonde locks and finished the look with the famous black gloves and bow tie.

“It’s always #HotGirlSummer for my husband, Carl,’ she tweeted. “Happy birthday my love!”

In an attached video the star said: “Wonder why I’m dressed like this? It’s for my husband’s birthday.

“Remember some time back I said I was going to pose for Playboy magazine when I was 75? Well, I’m 75, and they don’t have a magazine anymore.

She continued: ”My husband always loved the original cover, and I was trying to think of something to do to make him happy. He still thinks I’m a hot chick after 57 years, and I’m not going to try to talk him out of that.”

“In the first one I was a little butterball. well, I’m string cheese now. He’ll probably think I’m cream cheese, I hope.

“Anyway, I’m going to surprise him, going in singing to him in my little bunny suit.”

Dolly quipped: ”What do you think? Think Playboy oughta pay me for the photo shoot? I do!”

She ended the video with a picture of herself presenting Carl with a framed copy of the original cover with the new one alongside it.

Her notoriously private husband was only shown by the back of his head.

Last year the legendary music artist joked in an interview with 60 Minutes Australia about doing a second cover for Playboy when she turned 75.

Dolly made history in 1978 as the first country singer to pose for the magazine, though she was clear there would be no nudity.

Dolly and Carl began dating in 1966 when she was just 18 and married two years later in Georgia.
