This Morning’s Eamonn Holmes told fans he’s “feeling good” and on the mend as he revealed his steroid injections are “kicking in”.
The presenter, 61, gave his Twitter followers an update on his health after suffering from chronic back pain in recent weeks.
Eamonn and his wife Ruth Langsford have been open about his condition on the ITV show, with the Northern Irish star previously describing the back pain as a “waking nightmare”.
He wrote to his fans: “My Physio has just left, and you know what? For the first time in five weeks I feel good!
“Can’t believe I’m saying that but steroid injections from last week must be kicking in too.
“The comeback starts here … I hope,” he added.
Delighted friends and fans of Eamonn flocked to the comments section to send their well-wishes to him after hearing the news.
One wrote: “Glad you’re on the mend Eamonn.”
“Wonderful news and steroid injections are the best! When I have them it’s like a puff of fresh air has been injected. You will get there,” another person shared.
A third person commented: “Great news Sir! Delighted you are feeling better and getting results! There is hope! Thanks for sharing! Well done to Ruth too! Support is a huge help! love n light!”
It comes after Eamonn discovered he “mysteriously” dislocated his pelvis, which in turn affected the alignment of his back.
The TV star went to the hospital just before the Easter holidays to undergo testing, but was forced to wait one week to receive any results.
Now, he has thankfully got some answers, discussing his diagnosis in a recent interview with The Irish Independent.
“I mysteriously dislocated my pelvis and I don’t know how — it’s not as erotic as it sounds,” he said.
“My back is now out of alignment as a result.”
The broadcaster added his wife Ruth Langsford fully understood the pain he was enduring, after witnessing his agony in recent weeks.
Describing chronic pain, he said: “Nobody knows what it’s like unless they live with someone who has it.
