Emmerdale fans couldn’t believe their ears when Zak Dingle tried to help son Sam get his marriage back on track with a naughty suggestion.
Sam (James Hooton) has been trying to sort out his marriage with Lydia (Karen Blick) after they split up when she reported Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele) to the police for potentially killing Ben Tucker – which fans know she didn’t do.
He’s been regretting his decision to kick her out of the Dingle family though, and serenaded her during the Christmas Eve episode to try and win her back.
It majorly failed though, with Lydia making it clear that their marriage was broken and Sam couldn’t fix it.

But when Sam spoke to his dad Zak (Steve Halliwell) in the Woolpack, Zak had a rather saucy recommendation.
He told his son: “Take her up the barn, it always got me and Lisa back on track.”
Viewers couldn’t believe what they were hearing, with Zak usually very family friendly.
They shared their thoughts on Twitter, with many branding it “kinky”.

One said: “When Zak just said ‘take her up the…’ I almost choked on my chicken satay.”
Another wrote: “Take her up the barn… that’s a bit rude Zak.”
A third tweeted: “Take her up the what, Zac?”
Someone else said: “‘Take her up the barn’ Ooooh kinky.”
While many others just repeated the phrase and added a heap of laughing emojis.
Sam’s love life will end up being the least of the Dingle family’s worries in the coming days.
It’s been confirmed that the Woolpack will go up in flames.
Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) and Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) have been struggling to keep the pub going recently.
And Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) is adamant that they sell it to him, so he can change it into a block of flats.
But how will anyone recover from the pub fire?
