GMB viewers slam host Adil Ray as he 'shouts' over guest in heated discussion

Good Morning Britain hosts Adil Ray and Kate Garraway was on-screen with Co-Chairman of the Conservative Party Amanda Milling this morning and questioned her on losing the by-election.

Batley and Spen have elected a new MP in their by-election, which many thought would be a Conservative MP, but Labour managed to take the win.

Amanda appeared on the morning show today to discuss the election, but while Adil was questioning her, his voice started to raise and fans soon called him out on Twitter.

One user wrote: “His voice hurts my ears when he gets excited.”

Another added: “Shouty man is back on. Keep talking, talk over the top of everyone and anyone.”

A third person said: “Can someone please tell Adil to stop shouting?”

Addressing Amanda, Adil said: “I suspect one of your roles is to make sure that your party is operating fairly and honestly and within the rules and most importantly observing things like the ministerial code, but I can’t remember a government in recent history that have had so many allegations placed against them.

“How can you, as chair of your party, allow this?”

Adil began to increase the volume in his voice but gave multiple examples of issues in the government over the past year and turned and said: “Amanda Milling, are you actually doing your job properly?”

She explained that PM Boris Johnson is “fully focused” on his job and said that they all want the priority to be getting the Covid-19 vaccine rolled out so things can “go back to normal”.

Although people were not happy with the volume from Adil ray, many were happy to see Amanda questioned on the show as she was quizzed in detail by the host.

The discussion comes after Amanda admitted that there was a “whole range of reasons” for the defeat at the Batley and Spen by-election – but added that the “issue around Matt [Hancock] did come up on the doorstep”.

GMB returns Monday at 6am.
