Lucy Verasamy, much like the rest of us, has resorted to cutting her own hair during the lockdown, in a bid to battle the split ends.
The ITV weather expert, 40, took to Instagram on Sunday afternoon to showcase her transformed barnet, sharing a before and after snap with her fans.
Lucy, who hosts weather reports for Good Morning Britain and ITV News, admitted she was missing her hairstylists as she tackled her shoulder-length ‘do.
The first photo showed her hair angled from behind, ready for chopping with a towel placed on her shoulders.
In her caption, she tagged her hairstylists, letting them know she couldn’t wait to enjoy a salon-quality trim.

She wrote: “Little at home trim. Miss you! @frankiepullenhair @danielgalvinldn.”
Later, Lucy shared the fruits of her labour with fans, snapping a selfie while out for a walk.
Her hair, which had been parted to one side, fell in glossy layers, framing her face and cutting off at her collarbone.
Lucy added some tinted black shades and a khaki jacket to the look, describing her new chop as “shorter and lighter”.
The Norfolk-born star has been a popular fixture of the ITV team for over the past decade, having landed her first gig on Daybreak back in 2010.

Since then, she has become ITV News’ leading weather expert, predicting snow, rain or sunshine up and down the country every evening.
Four years ago, she joined Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on the GMB team, waking up the nation with reports of storms and gales depending on the season.
On top of that, the GMB favourite was due to join Phillip Schofield in presenting a brand-new series earlier this year, but lockdown restrictions pushed the project back.
In January of last year, she wrote: “Fun Friday filming in the weather studio with @schofe: all will be revealed in the spring.”

The project was set to be a spin-off from Phillip’s annual How To Spend It Well At Christmas series.
With the working title of How To Spend It Well On Holiday, the programme focused on effectively budgeting for summer holidays abroad.
Fingers crossed, once the pandemic passes – and holidaying resumes – the ITV stars will be able to return to production of the much-awaited series.
