Emmerdale stars Jeff Hordley and Zoe Henry are two of the country’s most hardworking soap stars, featuring in some of the soap’s biggest dramas over the past two decades.
Thankfully, the sweethearts have a sanctuary to return to each evening, having designed a beautiful home for themselves in the Yorkshire dales.
Cain Dingle star Jeff and Zoe, who plays Rhona Goskirk, live in a cottage in the north of England with their two young children, complete with a sprawling garden and a cosy interior.
Zoe, who met Jeff while studying at university, frequently shares pictures of their home on social media, offering fans a glimpse at their colourful and eccentric sense of style.
The couple’s occasional Zoom-call appearances on television, such as Jeff’s stint on Loose Women last year, have also given a platform to their eccentric sense of style.
Below is everything you need to know about their beautiful home, which is chockablock with character.
Interior design
Starting with the kitchen, Jeff and Zoe – who love to cook with fresh produce – opted for a cobalt-blue theme, brightening up the space with bold and colourful cabinets.
Geometric tiles line the walls, with strips of white and blue creating an elegant backdrop for their culinary endeavours.
Their quirky sense of style even stretches to their cooking equipment, with glossy powder blue pots with contemporary white lids.
The couple added their creative flair to the bedroom, which features two illustrations of British royals on the walls – Henry VII and Queen Elizabeth I.
A red lamp filters the room with a warm glow, and fairy lights have been strung along the white wrought iron bedpost.
Adding to the nesting atmosphere, Zoe added a softer touch with some patterned cushions, which feature textured embroidery and owl prints.
The living room is just as inviting, with scattered throws and piles of cushions on the sofa.
Grey paint coats the walls, and the soap stars have framed artwork to bring their personality to the space.
Elsewhere, their love of the great outdoors is clear, with potted plants and quirky vases sprinkled throughout the cottage.
Taking advantage of the natural light offered by their sprawling grounds, the couple’s living room features generous French doors to the garden.
Exposed brickwork makes a feature of one wall, with the rest of the room is coated in a shade of bright white paint.
As for the sofa, Jeff and Zoe have plumped for a classic forest green three-seater, bringing pops of colour with their use of home accessories and pillows.
Gorgeous garden
A green-fingered family, Jeff and Zoe take great pride in their garden, which features an expansive allotment, ideal for growing their own grub.
There, the couple grow everything from sweetpeas to courgettes, producing their own veg in a sustainable fashion.
Showing off their bounty, Zoe once wrote: “I’m not bragging (I am) but we’ve never grown swede before, however, we’ve had first time success….and we are are THRILLED!!!”
Wooden footpaths have been created between the growing patches, ideal for strolling between plots.
The couple’s pet dog frequently appears in their social media pics, mooching through the leafy green pathways of their garden.
A beautiful leafy arch stretches over the allotment, creating a picturesque walkway for the family.
Opening up about their commitment to eating healthily, Zoe told The Sun’s Fabulous Magazine last year: “We have an allotment and it’s so therapeutic to have your hands in the earth.
“We’re mindful of what we eat, but watching our diet isn’t about being on TV, it’s more about general well-being, as Jeff has Crohn’s disease.”
Ideal for dinner alfresco, the couple have placed a vintage-inspired white metal dining set in the garden.
