Jake Quickenden's anger after birth of son as trolls say ‘I hope the baby dies’

Trolls are targeting Jake Quickenden over his new baby.

The I’m A Celebrity hunk, who has welcomed little Leo with partner Sophie Church, has been shocked by some of the messages he’s had.

Jake, 32, said: “I’ve had nasty tweets from people saying things like, ‘I hope the baby dies’.

“I get stupid s*** like that. If people start trolling Sophie or the baby a lot, that is something I will have to get my head around.

“Unfortunately that’s the world we live in. You can get 100,000 lovely messages, but you’ll remember one nasty one.

“You think, ‘Why would they say that?’. I understand if people don’t give a s**t about my life. But they don’t have to comment on it.”

Jake has been a target for trolls since finding fame on The X Factor in 2012.

He added: “We have to remember that trolling does bother a lot of people. I’m one of the stronger ones and I’ve learned to deal with it.”

Jake, 32, and 27-year old Sophie confirmed the happy news alongside adorable photographs of their newborn son on Friday evening.

The former X Factor star took to Instagram to tell fan: “‘ITS A BOY….. meet Leo Oliver Quickenden.

“I am so overwhelmed right now, but first I want to say Sophie you’re amazing and watching you during all this made me love you even more.”

“I already know you’re an amazing mum and cannot wait to raise this beautiful little baby with you!! I also have such a mixture of feelings, I’m so so happy but also feel a little sadness my dad and brother are not around to meet my baby!”
