Kate Garraway has given fans a private email of hers to contact her if they want to discuss their coronavirus “pain” following her and her husband’s Finding Derek documentary.
The Good Morning Britain presenter, 53, bravely along with her and hubby Derek Drapers two children shared their story during a ITV documentary in a bid to shed light on the long-lasting side effects of the virus which has killed millions worldwide and saw the globe go into lockdown.
Journalist Kate revealed how to contact her after she opened up on how she feels “wonderfully overwhelmed” following the reaction of the show.
She said: “I’ve had so many message from people talking not just about Covid but experiences in their own life where some of the things we touched on I think, have impacted them.
“And I think they want to get in touch with me directly to as it’s quite personal and…”
At that point a video appeared on the screen from the documentary of Derek laying awake in his hospital bed.
“Oh there he is…,” said Kate through a smile. “Oh, that reminds me, I do have an email address and it’s all free where people can get in touch with me directly.
“I do understand that some things they don’t want to put on social media.”
Kate continued to say that it is part of her club called Club Garraway she created at the beginning of this year so she could talk to fans in private about their feelings and support one another.
“Remember my club I started called Club Garraway at the beginning of the year, which I have neglected somewhat I have to be honest with everything going on,” said she between a slight chuckle.
