Katie Price has said she can’t understand why Richard Madeley wasn’t allowed back into the I’m A Celebrity camp after breaching the COVID bubble, but was allowed in to chat to Ant and Dec.
TV presenter Richard was forced to exit the ITV show this week after a trip out to go to hospital when he was unwell meant he could potentially have been exposed to the coronavirus and couldn’t risk taking it back to camp.
However, he returned to Gwrych Castle to do an exit interview with hosts Ant and Dec.
Katie shared her thoughts in a review of the show on Instagram, saying Richard was a “cool guy”.
She said: “So because of COVID reasons, they said he couldn’t go back in the camp. Then how’s he gone back in the camp to do an interview with Ant and Dec, who will be going in the camp when they reveal who’s doing the challenges?
“I can’t get my head around that either and he didn’t have a mask on or anything.”
Panning round to show her fiancé Carl Woods sat beside her, she said: “I don’t know if you lot thought that but you did, didn’t you Carl?”
Katie, 43, was a contestant on the show herself in 2004.
And she said Richard was “spot on” when he talked about what the show is like behind the scenes.
The mum-of-five – who placed fifth in her series of the reality programme – said when you are a camper things like the challenges do feel very real.
TV star Richard, 65, has said he was “gutted” to have to leave the show so early.
An ITV spokesperson said after his departure: “Our strict COVID protocols means Richard has sadly had to leave the show as he is no longer in the bubble the celebrities form when entering the castle.
“He has been a truly brilliant camp mate and we thank him for being part of this series.”
