Love Island fans 'crying' as they spot Tommy Fury's boxing tribute to Molly-Mae

Eagle-eyed Love Island fans were left teary-eyed on Monday, after they noticed Tommy Fury’s sweet tribute to his girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague during his recent boxing match.

The boxer, who outclassed Anthony Taylor to pick up a points victory on his US debut on Sunday night, put on a dazzling performance over four rounds in Cleveland, Ohio.

But before he entered the ring, certain fans noticed that his striking blue and red robe had a small elephant embroidered on the front.

The cute elephant indicated to fans that Tommy was paying a seriously sweet homage to Molly-Mae’s Love Island teddy Ellie Belly.

The fan penned: “Not Ellie Belly,” followed by teary eyed emojis.

This triggered several other fans to leave comments under the original post too as they became emotional by Tommy’s attire.

One fan penned: “This really is the purest type of love.”

While another wrote: “God I have seen how you have blessed others, I only pray for the same thing.”

A third commented: “Omfg this is the cutest thing ever!”

Former Love Islanders Tommy and Molly-Mae have shown the nation the definition of young love, as they’ve continued to stick by one another after their series ended in 2019.

On Sunday, Tommy went on to beat his opponent during the match and was awarded with a base salary of $15,000 for his win.

The former islander hoped to impress sufficiently to earn a fight with YouTube star Jake Paul who outpointed Tyron Woodley later on in the same card.

Although Tommy dominated the four rounds during his match, he was unable to deliver on his promise of a spectacular knockout.

Tommy also confessed that his performance wasn’t his greatest.

After his match the 22-year-old said: “It wasn’t my best performance. But I’m getting better, I’m trying my best.

“Looking at that, Jake should have an easy night, there are no excuses, I want you next you bum, let’s get it on.”

He added: “I’m a seven-fight novice in the gym, nowhere near the finished article. I thank you so much for having me. Of course [I was nervous], getting in there and fighting, fight by fight I’m learning, we’ll get there, slowly but surely.”
