Love Island viewers were not impressed with the sound team in Friday night’s episode of Love Island as a deep conversation between Liberty Poole and Kaz Kamwi was overshadowed by crickets.
Viewers can often hear the odd cricket in the background of the show, but in Friday’s episode it was unusually loud, causing viewers to fume on Twitter.
It comes as Liberty pulled Kaz for a chat to share an update on her relationship with Jake, which she confessed had come to an end, and while Kaz was reassuring her, the crickets became louder and louder.
Taking to Twitter, one user wrote: “I didn’t hear a word of Liberty and Kaz’s conversation because the crickets were sending me mad.”
Another user wrote: “The sound of the crickets is extra loud tonight and I can’t take it.”
A third person added: “Why didn’t the producers turn down these crickets?”
Although the crickets certainly boycotted Liberty and Kaz’s conversation, the pair had a chat about the fact that Liberty had called time on her relationship with Jake.
The beauty told her bestie about her decision as she was showered with love, but she recognised that she had learned a lot about herself during her time in the villa.
Liberty told Kaz: “I might not have found love, or the love I thought I had at first but I found self love.”
She added: “You can’t let someone love you or love someone until you love yourself inside and out and I feel like Love Island has been that for me.”
Kaz responded: “You’re literally one of the strongest, most beautiful and intelligent people I’ve ever met in my entire life.
“You may not have found love in Jake but I found love in you and I’d like to think you found love in me.”
Liberty told Kaz that she had found love in her bestie and the pair decided to spend the night on their own as they slept on the day bed and spent some time by themselves after Liberty’s challenging day.
It comes as Liberty is expected to make her exit from the villa with Jake this evening.
Love Island returns on Sunday at 9pm on ITV2.
