Millie Court’s father has expressed his anguish towards the dramatic scenes that took place on Friday’s episode of Love Island and said he wanted to “dive into the tv” to cuddle his daughter.
Millie, 24, was left gobsmacked after she was faced with the reality that her partner Liam Reardon shared a passionate kiss with a bombshell from Casa Amor.
Although Liam returned back from the Spanish villa single, Millie’s hopes were shattered when she quickly realised that Liam had been playing away.
Following the dramatic scenes and seeing his daughter cry profusely on television, Millie’s father Rob Court took to Facebook to express his thoughts.
The father penned: “I wanted to dive into the TV tonight and just cuddle My Girl real tight. #itwillbeokdarling.
“Mils will shed her tears and it is difficult for me to helplessly watch. But I know deep down nothing will diminish her beautiful smile long term, she is too much of a ‘Happy Soul’.
“Millie has a large loving family and a fab group of friends behind her for support. We are all so proud of her. XX”
Millie’s father also said people should still “be kind” to others online and thanked fans for their continuous support.
He continued: “I would also like to say…please be kind to all participants of the show with your comments online, they have feelings, families and friends too. #bekindplease
“THANK YOU ALL for the support you have shown towards my Daughter Millie since her entrance to the villa. She will be so thrilled to read it all when she comes out.
“Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.”
Welsh hunk Liam had been getting rather close to Casa Amor bombshell Lillie Haynes and was confused as to whether he would recouple with her or continue to pursue his relationship with Millie.
Although Liam chose the latter, things became awkward quite quickly when Lillie entered the main villa and revealed that herself and Liam had a very close bond.
Lillie also disclosed that she kissed Liam outside of challenges. The news of Liam’s dishonesty later lead Millie to break down in tears.
Love Island viewers also couldn’t believe the dramatic scenes that took place and rushed to air their thoughts online.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer penned: “Liam is such a LIAR they need to RUN THE GOD DAMN TAPES. What is this Horrible Histories retelling of the story?”
Another commented: “Nah this is so humiliating for Millie, if your man comes back recoupled you can stand your ground and come up with a one-liner. Liam didn’t even allow her that, she had to find out when she’d already been smiling like a fool and the side ting started screaming.”
A third said: “One of the most dramatic moments in Love Island history. Shame on you Liam.”
Love Island continues Sunday on ITV2 and ITVHub at 9pm
