A boob ban was slapped on the new series of Michelle Keegan’s hit Sky comedy smash Brassic.
She plays Erin Croft who has taken over the running of The Rat and Cutter Gentleman’s Club which was famous for having strippers.
However, in the new season, she embarks on some strict new rules for the place – originally run by wildboy Tommo – as she wants to make it more upmarket.
Michelle, 34, said: “There’s a real power struggle between her and Tommo because obviously he is the old owner. But even though she’s taken over control she has still let Tommo have some authority as well within the club.
“Obviously The Rat and Cutter is known for its wild, strip nights.
“But she wants to make it a bit more up and coming, a bit more modern, a bit more like a bar really, that’s what her vision is for the club.
“So there’s no stripper posters on the walls, no boobs, there’s been a boob ban! She wants it to be a bit posher.”
Also in the new series – which launches Wednesday on Sky Max at 10pm – there will also be an all-girls only episode featuring Michelle and co-stars Joanna Higson and Bronagh Gallagher who play her gal pals Sugar and Carol.
The actress, who is married to former TOWIE star Mark Wright, joked: “They’re like the Destiny’s Child of Brassic!
“The three amigos, they’ve got each other’s back and they’re always going to be there for each other.
“I think it’s really important to show that relationship.
“It’s not just about the boys, it’s about what they’re getting up to and them being naughty. I hope people like it.”
Michelle, who was previously best known for her dramatic roles as Tina in Coronation Street and Georgie in Our Girl, originally accepted the role of Erin in Brassic because it was so different to anything she had done before.
“I read the script and I remember laughing out loud,” she says.

“I wanted to do a comedy for a long time, and I love playing strong women, so it had all the elements that I wanted out of a role and a TV series.
“As soon as I finished reading that first episode, I just knew straight away that it was something I wanted to be part of.”
Michelle stayed on Coronation Street for six years until Tina was brutally murdered in 2014.
She followed Coronation Street with a lead role in the BBC series Ordinary Lies and won the part of Lance Corporal Georgie Lane in the much-loved military drama series Our Girl in 2016. The series ended in 2020, but the actress hasn’t ruled out a return to the role in the future.
