BBC Breakfast presenter Carol Kirkwood found herself in a spot of hot water on Thursday morning, as Naga Munchetty branded her “hot-headed”.
She was speaking to hosts Naga and Charlie Stayt on the red sofa as she prepared to give Brits the low-down on the heatwave currently sweeping across the UK.
And Naga said she’d sent Carol outside, to the rooftop of Broadcasting House, in order for her to “cool off”.
“It’s 13 minutes past seven,” Naga told viewers from her perch on the couch. “We’ve sent Carol up on the roof because she gets so hot-headed in this weather.
“And so we just needed you to cool down, Carol. Perfect place! Morning!”
“Absolutely right, Naga,” Carol agreed with a grin. “The sun is beating down, there’s a gentle breeze, but today the forecast is another hot and sunny one for most of us.”
Carol warned that the weather would likely change as the weekend approaches, explaining some “thundery downpours” are in store across the country.
The scenery behind Carol did look like the perfect Thursday morning, with views across the London skyline and a perfect blue sky.
Earlier in the programme, Naga turned to Carol for some more weather updates, announcing: “We’ve got to talk to Carol about the weather now.
“If you’ve been feeling hot and you’re not able to sleep, Carol’s in the perfect position. Up high, cool-ish, maybe, or at least not a sticky hot breeze just yet up there on the roof of Broadcasting House. Morning Carol!” she chirped.
Carol admitted: “Naga is absolutely right – it’s perfect here on the roof in London.
“We’ve got nice temperatures, about 19 degrees, just a gentle breeze and the sun is out.”
It seems Carol has a lot to be happy about at the moment, as she recently opened up about her new beau.
The star split from her husband Jimmy Kirkwood in 2008, and, after 12 years of marriage, they finally divorced in 2012.
Talking to Prima Magazine for their July issue, Carol revealed that she has a new man in her life.

“I don’t want to say too much about my boyfriend, but I will say that he is very kind and very funny – he’s always making me laugh. And extremely handsome, as well!” she gushed.
“He always makes me a cup of tea before I go to work in the morning, which is very romantic – it’s 2.45am!
“And he often leaves me a little love note for when I come home from work. That, to me, is worth a million red roses.”
BBC Breakfast airs from 6am daily on BBC One.
