Noel Clarke shared a photograph of his neighbours having sex before he was accused of sexual misconduct.
He has been accused of both sexual misconduct and bullying, with accounts coming from 20 women.
The Kidulthood actor has also been accused of sharing sexually explicit pictures and videos without consent.
Clarke has since been suspended by BAFTA and had his new drama Viewpoint pulled from ITV schedules.
The Doctor Who actor tweeted the zoomed-in snap back in 2014, which – though blurred – clearly showed two people getting intimate with the curtains open.
Clarke wrote alongside the picture: “You can just about see the doggy style portion of events. Phone makes it look so far away. It wasn’t.”
The Guardian reports that various allegations were made between 2004 and 2019, though Clarke says he “vehemently denies” the claims.
He said in a statement to the paper: “In a 20-year career, I have put inclusivity and diversity at the forefront of my work and never had a complaint made against me.
“If anyone who has worked with me has ever felt uncomfortable or disrespected, I sincerely apologise.
“I vehemently deny any sexual misconduct or wrongdoing and intend to defend myself against these false allegations.”
He later offered an apology in light of the claims, as Sky, ITV and BAFTA have all distanced themselves from him.
He said the recent allegations have “made it clear to me that some of my actions have affected people in ways I did not intend or realise”.
Clarke added: “To those individuals, I am deeply sorry.
“I will be seeking professional help to educate myself and change for the better.”
BAFTA, who has both suspended Clarke and his Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema award, released a statement which read: “In light of the allegations of serious misconduct regarding Noel Clarke in The Guardian this evening, BAFTA has taken the decision to suspend his membership and the Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema award immediately and until further notice.”
