Ocean Colour Scene star Simon Fowler looks unrecognisable on stage at London gig

Ocean Colour Scene’s Simon Fowler looked almost unrecognisable as he took to the stage in London for a recent gig.

The Hundred Mile High City singer is currently on tour and was snapped during a performance with his group at the Roundhouse in Camden Town.

The musician, who is 56, was wearing brown trousers and a rust coloured top and looked very different to how many fans of the rock band remembered him.

“Is that Simon Fowler in these pictures?” one asked on Twitter.

“Love that man! Gosh he has changed a lot,” said another.

Ocean Colour Scene – currently comprised of Simon, Steve Cradock, Oscar Harrison and Raymond Meade – formed in Birmingham back in 1989.

They have unveiled 10 studio albums during their long career and are known for hits like The Day We Caught The Train, I Told You So and It’s A Beautiful Thing.

Their fans were thrilled to see them back on stage, where they joined by their old pal Paul Weller.

The band has a long relationship with the singer, and he helped them to make their name back in the 90s when he invited them to support him on some dates of his tour.

One fan said on Twitter that the crowd went “crazy” when Paul went on.

“Loved every second of it guys, wasn’t so keen on the hangover at work on Monday,” said another.

“Every member of the band is a master of their art,” said another fan. “Just brilliant.”

Another said the entire set was “incredible” and that it included “so many beautiful iconic songs”.
