Bafta award-winner Paul O’Grady is gearing up to become the new face of Saturday night television, as he’s landed himself a glitzy new talk show called Saturday Night Line-Up.
The scouse presenter previously hosted shows such as Blind Date and Blankety Blank but now Paul will be following in the footsteps of other late-night chat show hosts such as Jonathan Ross and Graham Norton.
To kick start the new series for his show, Paul will reportedly be joined by the legendary Dame Joan Collins, who is most remembered for her iconic role in Dynasty.
The new 45-minute programme will start in autumn and is expected to be a star-studded affair.
During the show, things may also get a little naughty too, as Paul, 66, will quiz his guests and most likely ask “intriguing questions, scenarios and dilemmas”.
Not only this, but selected members of the audience will also get the chance to participate in quizzing the celebs on the show.
Talking about the new programme in more detail, a TV insider told The Sun: “After months of being stuck indoors in lockdown Paul couldn’t wait to get out and start filming again, though it was a strange experience being back in a TV studio.

“This is certainly a spectacular comeback of sorts for Paul, who we haven’t seen making this type of show for years.
“He was a master when he hosted The Paul O’Grady Show on ITV and Channel 4 and fronting Blankety Blank as his alter-ego, Lily Savage.”
The insider also believes that audiences who are familiar with Paul’s work will be excited for him to return to this particular format.
Also, the For The Love of Dogs host is close pals with many celebs who would most likely be ok with taking part.
The father-of-one previously made a pilot for the new series in 2019 but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the programme was placed on hold.
Paul first became recognised by fans across the country for his larger than life drag queen personality Lily Savage during the 90s.
But since dropping the character, the star became the presenter of several much-loved TV and radio shows. He also hosted his own programme called The Paul O’Grady Show.
