Piers' dramatic GMB exit explained by straight-talking Daily Star columnists

Forget Megxit, Piers Morgan sensationally dropped his own quitting bombshell on Tuesday when he announced he was leaving Good Morning Britain.

The motormouth’s decision came hours after his royal rants about Meghan Markle amassed more than 41,000 complaints – the highest number received by the TV watchdog in 14 years.

He was quizzed by ITV bosses after flouncing off the show during a row with weatherman Alex Beresford.

And at 3.30pm today, Wednesday March 10, our Daily Star columnists Ed Gleave (our Hot TV Editor), Dawn Neesom (former editor of the Daily Star) and Ryan-Mark (former Apprentice star) will be giving you all the latest details on Piers’ dramatic decision and what happens next.

They will be live on the Daily Star’s Facebook page discussing all the details. Just click the link to get involved.

Meanwhile, Piers this morning refused to back down over his Meghan remarks and told reporters: “I think it’s fair to say, although the woke crowd will think that they’ve cancelled me, I think they will be rather disappointed when I re-emerge.

“I would call it a temporary hibernation.”

He added that he is “always in talks with people”.

During Tuesday’s Good Morning Britain, Beresford had blasted Piers’ attitude towards Meghan and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.

It prompted Piers to storm off set and co-star Susanna Reid ask for an emergency advert break.

Meghan and Harry had accused a member of the Royal Family of racism and failing to help the woman when she revealed she’d had suicidal thoughts.
