Piers Morgan has savagely branded Meghan Markle a “whiny fork-tongued actress” as he celebrated his huge Ofcom victory.
It comes as the former Good Morning Britain anchor was given the ‘all clear’ by Ofcom – after they found that he hadn’t breached editorial code with his on-air comments about Meghan.
The broadcasting regulator had received a record 58,000 complaints against ITV over his comments about Meghan Markle on his Good Morning Britain show back in March.
However, Ofcom concluded that Piers, 56, was not in breach of their broadcasting code – noting that he was “entitled to say he disbelieved the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s allegations”.
56-year-old Piers was quick to celebrate the win on Twitter, declaring that he was “delighted” with the conclusion and slamming Megan by saying: “resounding victory for free speech and a resounding defeat for Princess Pinocchio.”
But that’s not the end of it, because he published more scathing words against the Duchess in his latest MailOnline column today.
In his bombshell column, Piers highlighted the importance of “free speech” and cited former Prime Minister, Winston Churchill before launching into Prince Harry and Meghan,
The journalist kicked off by claiming Harry and Meghan think they both have the right to drop endless bombshells about their family as well as the right to “censor and silence” anyone who challenges them.
Piers accused Meghan of making “outlandish claims” such as a secret wedding and Archie’s princely ban – discarding them as “nonsense” and Meghan herself as a “demonstrable liar”,
He then said that he had been informed that Meghan had written directly to his ITV boss, Dame Carolyn McCall, the night before he was “forced” out of his GMB job.
He penned: “I was reliably informed recently that Meghan Markle wrote directly to my ITV boss Dame Carolyn McCall the night before I was forced out, demanding my head on a plate.
“Apparently, she stressed that she was writing to Dame Carolyn personally because they were both women and mothers – a nauseating playing of the gender and maternity card if ever there was one.”
He then blasted Meghan for what he saw as “dictating” his former breakfast show, after she “demanded his head on a plate”.
He fumed: “What has the world come to when a whiny fork-tongued actress can dictate who presents a morning television news programme?”
He confessed that he was “obviously delighted” that Ofcom had supported his right to express his opinion on air, saying that as Ofcom mentioned, to have restricted his right to disbelieve her and Harry would have been “chilling”.
He hailed the findings as a “resounding victory for free speech and a resounding defeat for Princess Pinocchios”.
He cheekily concluded by asking for his job back, adding “Just one question remains: does this mean I get my job back?”
The Ofcom complaints came following two episodes of Good Morning Britain which aired on the 8 and 9 of March – the mornings before and after Harry and Meghan’s Oprah interview was shown in the UK.
In the CBS Oprah interview, Meghan had stated that she had previously suffered from suicidal thoughts whilst living in the royal household and “didn’t want to be alive anymore” – but that she did not receive adequate help from Buckingham Palace.
She also alleged that an anonymous member of the Royal Family had questioned “how dark” their son Archie’s skin could be.

However, Piers blasted Meghan the next day by saying that he did not “believe a word she said”, and later walked off the programme after clashing with Alex Beresford who had defended Meghan.
It was then announced that Piers would be leaving the show that evening.
Ofcom’s official decision summary on Wednesday (1 Sep) read: “This was a finely-balanced decision. Mr Morgan’s comments were potentially harmful and offensive to viewers, and we recognise the strong public reaction to them. But we also took full account of freedom of expression.
“Under out rules, broadcasters can include controversial opinions as part of legitimate debate in the public interest, and the strong challenge to Mr Morgan from other contributors provided important context for viewers.”
They added that they’ve reminded ITV to take “greater care” around content discussing mental health and suicide in future.
