Piers Morgan left his social media followers very jealous as he shared a glimpse into his huge garden at his Newick home, sharing a clip on his Instagram Stories.
The video was sound tracked by Lou Reed’s classic song Perfect Day as Piers, 56, quoted the song’s iconic lyrics on his post, writing: “Just a perfect day. Drink sangria in the park.”
The sun worshipper also highlighted the scorching temperature of 32C.
Since walking off the Good Morning Britain set in March during a row with weatherman Alex Beresford over Meghan Markle, Piers has been taking it easy.
He has been enjoying his sprawling Sussex pad with wife Celia and daughter Elise. The family also have a city townhouse in west London and a home in Los Angeles.
Piers’s countryside retreat has ivy climbing up the walls and over the doors, plus a large gravel driveway for his car collection.
The dining room features rather traditional decor of oak furniture and pine tables, while the lounge areas which have cream sofas, floral cushions and blankets.
The sprawling estate is perfect for summer parties with lots of outdoor furniture including a wooden dining area and rattan sofas.
And life for the Morgans currently centres around the swimming pool during the current heatwave. It has a circular set up with parasols to escape the scorching sun.
Newick is an affluent area in East Sussex which sees most four and five-bedroom detached homes go for £700,000 to £1.4million.
During the first lockdown the presenter offered up his Sussex home to his parents while he stayed at his London pad.
He also let friends stay at his home in Beverly Hills as he was unable to enter the United States due to the restrictions.
Earlier today Piers made a brief comeback of sorts to GMB.
As showbiz correspondent Richard Arnold gave his daily entertainment news bulletin, a picture of Piers came up on the screen.
Richard said: “It’s set to be a clash of the titans at this year’s TRIC Awards, as Good Morning Britain’s very own Susanna Reid goes up against her old adversary in bants Piers Morgan in the News Presenter category.”
If he wins, Piers may have to leave his sun lounger to accept the award.
