Piers Morgan had fans in stitches when he wore a white and green kilt in a photo for St Andrew’s Day.
The former Good Morning Britain host decided to celebrate St Andrew’s Day with his 1.8 million followers on Instagram, and it’s fair to say he did it in style.
The bold broadcaster shared a throwback snap of the time he surprised his former co-star Lorraine Kelly on the set of his ITV breakfast show, and ended up loving his look.
Back in 2015, Piers had strutted up to Lorraine wearing the chequered kilt live on air, and the Scottish presenter said it was the “most frightening thing I’ve ever seen” as she burst out laughing.
Above the waist, Piers was wearing his usual news presenter attire of a suit, shirt and tie, but down below he was kitted out in traditional Scottish clothing.
Revealing Piers in his outfit, GMB host Susannah Reid had said “Huge apologies, Lorraine, this is your present from us…”
Taking to Instagram this year with the throwback snap, Piers simply wished his followers: “Happy St. Andrew’s Day!”
His fans were in fits of giggles at the snap, but many of them thought the journalist looked rather good in the outfit.
One fan wrote: “YOU ARE THE BEST!!” as they added a crying-laugh face emoji.
A second user jokingly commented: “Are you trying to start a war with Scotland Morgan.” with a laughing-emoji.
A third quipped: “Hmm like you Piers, but you don’t have the legs for it!”
A fourth agreed: “Rocking the kilt Piers”
A fifth added: “Suits you sir! x”
During the hilarious moment in 2015, Piers said: “What do you get for the woman who’s had everyone.. I mean everything!”
He handed her a pillow in the shape of a love-heart with a large image of his face printed on it.
Praising his kilt, Lorraine then admitted: “You have a manly figure.”
Lorraine asked him if he had pants on underneath the kilt, to which he cheekily replied: “I’m commando”.
The daytime host then remarked: “You just get more and more attractive, Piers!”
