Rita Ora teases 'jaw-dropping' Masked Singer UK experience while filming new ITV series

Rita Ora has revealed details of what viewers of The Masked Singer UK can expect from the upcoming third series.

The chart-topping beauty is set to make her return to the judging panel of the ITV game show that sees celebrity guests sing for her and her co-judges Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, and Mo Gilligan.

Hosted by comedian Joel Dommett, the show has the contestants dressing up in identity concealing outfits for their performance as viewers try to guess who is behind the disguise.

Talking to The Independent about the show Rita, 31, couldn’t help but rave about filming the programme.

She said: “It was honestly the most jaw-dropping thing I have experienced. It’s insane.”

This year’s full list of costumes that will be donned by the famous participants includes Chandelier, Bagpipes, Doughnuts, Traffic Cone and Panda.

Rita’s return to The Masked Singer was confirmed in May, much to the delight of her fans who were unsure that she would be back after she was replaced on the panel for The Masked Dancer due to a clash with her filming commitments with The Voice Australia.

The Masked Singer raked in over 10 million viewers last season, with viewers addicted to the guessing game format.

Filming for season three began in November at ITV’s Bovingdon Airfield based Bovingdon studios.

The last season saw soul singer Joss Stone crowned as the winner while dressed as Sausage.

American R’n’B chart-topper while Ne-Yo meanwhile finished second as Badger and JLS star Aston Merrygold came in third place as Robin.

Rita also opened up about her happiness at taking the decision to have her eggs frozen for when she plans to start a family.

She is currently dating Oscar-winning film director Taika Waititi and admits they want to have a big brood.

Rita first had her eggs frozen at the age of 24 and then again three years later following her doctor’s advice.

She told The Independent: “I think as women, we put that pressure on ourselves, subconsciously, because we feel like that is our duty – to create and give life.

“So, I just wanted to not worry about it. And I didn’t after, and it was the best thing I ever did.”
