Shilpa Shetty hauntingly told Jade she had a 'never say die' attitude

March 22nd marks 12 years since Big Brother legend and arguably the UK’s biggest ever reality star Jade Goody died.

Jade, who was mum to sons Bobby and Freddie Brazier, died of cervical caner at the age of of 27.

Jade’s diagnosis was revealed to her when she was starring on the Indian version of Big Brother.

She went on the programme to try and rebuild her reputation following the Shilpa Shetty racism row.

In August 2019, Channel 4 aired a three-part documentary, Jade Goody: The Reality Star who changed Britain, which explored her time in the spotlight and her time on the Indian version of Big Brother.

Prompting widespread criticism at the time, Jade was filmed on the programme being told she had cancer.

Bollywood sensation Shilpa, who Jade had famously clashed with, presented the Indian version of the programme.

Shilpa spoke to the London-born star ahead of her entering the house.

It came after the pair had a friendly reunion where Shilpa forgave Jade for calling her Shilpa “Poppadom” in the Celebrity Big Brother house.

Shilpa said to her: “I really have to salute your spirit.

“You really have a never say die attitude.”

Shilpa’s words were truly haunting as just 48 hours later, Jade was called into the Diary Room where she was put on the phone to her doctor, who told her she had cervical cancer.

She was sent back to the UK, where she then did numerous TV appearances, as well as having her chemotherapy sessions filmed.

Soon after, it was reported the cancer had spread to Jade’s bowel, liver and groin and she had months to live.

Jade took on the late Max Clifford as her PR consultant, who was tasked with making Jade as much money as he could before she died, so her two sons Bobby and Freddie had a good life.

Jack Tweed has found love again

She died on March 22 2009.

Jade’s former husband Jack Tweedy recently revealed that he had found love again, 12 years on from losing Jade.

Jack now 33 is dating an Essex girl who he met on Instagram.

Jack, who was just 21 when he married Jade, said that even though he has now moved on romantically, he still compares everyone to Jade.

He revealed: “I’ve met someone. She’s a really nice girl. We talk every day and it’s probably the most serious I’ve been since Jade.

“It’s hard for me because I will compare it all with Jade. I will never forget about Jade.”

He added: “I know it’s stupid to think about ’cause I’m never gonna get what I had with Jade again and I’m never going to find Jade again. It’s impossible. I have to get out of my head.”
