Fans of ITV’s The Chase were left rather baffled during the celebrity Christmas special, after they noticed the Chasers were dressed in Halloween costumes.
Viewers were confused with what was taking place on the popular show while some were also angered that the programme, hosted by Bradley Walsh, was a repeat episode.
Each of the Chasers were dressed as members of the infamous Addams Family but some of their costumes only added to fans’ confusion.
Taking to Twitter, The Chase spectators shared their thoughts on the show.
One fan penned: “Can I ask a question….why are you guys dressed as the Addams family at Xmas? More Halloween isn’t it? Feel that Twitter needs it clarifying…”
Another added: “Why is it called a Christmas special when there is nothing Christmassy about it? Seems more like a Halloween Special.”
A third chipped in: “Is this a Christmas or Halloween special?”
While others moaned that they had already seen the episode last year despite ITV advertising the programme as “new”.
One Twitter user said: “This is not a new episode! No idea why they’re advertising it as a new episode!”

Another fan echoed: “This is a repeat from last year, hence the lack of covid restrictions. And they win nothing. Sorry.”
“New #TheChase without social distancing! Does this mean the end of the plastic screens on the normal series soon?” A third questioned.
But despite fans being confused, many were equally impressed with some of The Chaser’s captivating attires.
Chaser Anne Hegerty certainly left fans stunned as she dressed up as the character Morticia.

Wearing long black locks, the star certainly looked striking as she teamed up her look with dark eyeliner and bold red lipstick.
Once again, fans couldn’t wait to comment on her striking appearance as it was certainly dissimilar to her usual short-haired look.
Jumping back on Twitter, one fan wrote: “Anne as Morticia Addams is the highlight of my Christmas.”
“Watching #TheChase celeb special@anne_hegerty dressed as Morticia looks absolutely fabulous Sparkles can’t wait to see who the others are dressed as. I love the specials where they dress up,” another happy fan shared.
