Tipping Point fans were left scratching their heads on Wednesday evening as the ITV quiz show returned to our screens.
Host Ben Shephard welcomed four contestants to the famous ITV studio as they battled it out to win the highly sought after cash prizes.
The players answered a series of questions to win turns on an arcade-style machine.
Dropping tokens down a choice of four chutes, they each hoped to knock piles of the counters off a moving shelve – the more they collected, the greater the prize fund.
Contestant Lauren quickly distracted viewers from the quiz show with her looks.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Lauren looks very stylish.”
Another added: “Oh hello Lauren” alongside several love-eyed emojis.
A third person posted: “Hi Lauren, great hair.”
While a fourth said: “Lauren is nice.”
However, Lauren left fans feeling rather confused during the penultimate round of the competition.
Ben asked the contestant: “Actors Morgan Freeman and Idris Elba have both played which former South Africa leader on film?”
Lauren struggled to come up with an answer to the question and decided to pass to her competitor Stephen, who correctly guessed Nelson Mandela.
Good Morning Britain favourite Ben asked Lauren what she would have answered and she said Nelson Mandela.
Ben told Lauren that she should have gone for it and not passed to Stephen.
Viewers at home rushed to their keyboards to discuss their shock at Lauren passing the question.
One fan tweeted: “I can’t believe Lauren passed that. If you are even remotely confident, always play.”
A second person posted: “Should’ve backed yourself, Lauren.”
While a third wrote: “Lauren name me another South African leader?”
“Oh Lauren, you fool. Who else would it be,” a fourth ranted.
Despite her movie mishap, Lauren made it through to the final round of the quiz show.
She left the ITV studio with £3650 in her pocket, which she is going to use to travel to Asia.
Tipping Point airs weekdays on ITV at 4pm
