Adele’s cancelled Las Vegas residency could soon be hit with hefty fines, as reports claim it will cost Caesars Palace £110 million if the star never returns to the venue.
Caesars Palace still hopes that the Grammy award winner will make a return to the stage but will suffer a huge bill if not, according to ITV showbiz correspondent Ross King.
While appearing on Monday’s episode of ITV’s chat show Lorraine, Ross also said part of the reason the gigs were cancelled was due to trouble with Adele’s relationship with boyfriend Rich Paul.
Speaking about Adele, 33, and the cancellations, the reporter said: “The latest alleged report that all is not well with her boyfriend Rich Paul. They are saying that’s part of the reason she pulled out of the gigs.
“Caesars Palace desperately want the gigs to go ahead because if they don’t they are going to lose something like $150million.
“They really want it to happen and they are saying they are doing all they can to make it happen, so it’s kind of now all on Adele’s side.”
He added: “I have to say, out here they are not particularly confident that those Vegas dates will go ahead. Let’s hope that they do in the end.”
Daily Star has contacted Adele’s representative for comment.
According to recent reports, mother-of-one Adele has continued to stay at her boyfriend’s Beverly Hills mansion as they try to sort out their relationship.
The Hello singer started dating the sports agent, 40, in early 2021 – however, it was reportedly claimed that she decided to call off her gigs in Las Vegas due to their relationship hitting a bump in the road.
The Sun recently revealed that the pair had struggled to spend time with each other in recent weeks due to their busy work schedules.
A source told the publication: “Adele is staying at Rich’s house in Beverly Hills just trying to fix their relationship because things have become strained.
“They barely saw each other at the beginning of the month because he was away for work and she was trying to focus on the Vegas show.
“She was upset he couldn’t be there with her when things started falling apart with the residency and it made things difficult for them both. She needed him there, but he couldn’t because he has his own busy career too.'”
