Anton Du Beke baffled TV viewers when he claimed he’d never cooked – despite previously being in a food segment on This Morning.
The Strictly star was one of the contestants on ITV’s Cooking With The Stars, which sees celebs paired with professional chefs who will mentor and teach them.
As the show got under way on Tuesday, he admitted that he was a bit of a novice when it came to cooking.
“I’ve never cooked at all, but come on, show me the kitchen!” he said.
But some viewers were a bit confused because Anton has previously been on This Morning showing off his baking skills.
One posted on Twitter: “Anton Du Beke says he’s never done any cooking. Didn’t he have a baking section on This Morning once?”
Another said: “Anton did a cooking stint on This Morning… He’s all over the place, having a mare.”
“Anton Du Beke pretending he doesn’t know what a kitchen is… when he used to be a professional baker and has been on TV baking!” another person posted on Twitter.
A couple of people were also left scratching their heads about Anton’s cooking skills because he’s a dad.
The dancer has five-year-old twins George and Henrietta with his wife Hannah.
So some viewers assumed he would have had to have whipped a few things up for them in the past.
“Surely Anton has cooked before??” said one. “He’s got 2 kids!”
But whether or not Anton can cook, viewers couldn’t help noticing how good the 55-year-old was looking.
One said he was looking a lot fresher than usual.
“Hmmm Anton is looking much younger,” they tweeted.
Another joked: “ANTON! He’s such a dilf now!”
Cooking With The Stars is hosted by Emma Willis and Tom Allen.
Other celebs taking part include Dame Kelly Holmes, This Morning’s Josie Gibson, The Chase star Anne Hegerty, Love Island’s Maura Higgins, TV expert Dr Ranj Singh, comedian Joe Wilkinson and DJ Woody Cook.
