Amanda Holden let Alesha Dixon get up on stage for tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent (May 7), as the judge assisted with a magic trick.
Alesha was the glamorous assistant for Keiichi Iwasaki, a Japanese street magician.
Illusionist Keiichi asked Alesha to raise one finger and hold it in place while he showed off a ring.
Walking away from Alesha, he said: “This ring, your finger.”
He then flicked his hand and the ring started to spin at speed in the air.
The ring then landed on Alesha’s finger as Keiichi screamed.
Some armchair experts were convinced they had spotted how the trick was created. They took to Twitter to share their theories.
One wrote: “You can see the device on his right middle finger.”
A second said: “He has something between his index and middle finger in her right hand, that probably does the trick but I don’t know what it is.”
A third added: “Here is HOW ITS DONE. Ring is attached to a thin piece of string that runs up. Hence when he try to pass the ring through his hands the left hand doesn’t start on the right he starts more on the left so it doesn’t interfere with the piece of wire.”
Despite this sniping, Keiichi impressed those at the London Palladium. He had already amused the audience and judges by referring to Ant and Dec as “Dec and Ant”.
Performing a card trick, Keiichi asked Dec to choose a card and then place it back in the pile – which he later pulled out from inside Dec’s shirt.
He then somehow moved the card without touching it, leaving the judges shocked by the floating playing card.
Another trick involved a £20 note, which the magician folded and probed at without ever touching it.
Ant and Dec were so impressed with Keiichi that they ran on stage as the judges were singing his praises.
The audience and judges went wild as the cheeky duo ran to the judging panel, before telling Keiichi: “You, my friend, get the golden buzzer.”
However fans have been left unhappy, with some even branding it a “fix”, as they realised Keiichi has already appeared on a number of TV talent shows.
