Brad Pitt is suing his ex-wife Angelina Jolie over a previous business deal she made a few months ago.
58-year-old Brad is suing his ex-wife of five years, Angelina, 46, for orchestrating an unlawful sale of Chateau Miraval.
The stars of “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” tied the knot in 2014 before they went their separate ways in 2019.
In 2008 the former couple purchased a controlling interest in Chateau Miraval, a French company that consists of both a home and a vineyard.
Even though their divorce has been finalised, the court battles over their many assets are far from over.
They purchased both the 35-room mansion and the vineyard on the property, which has been the source of their profitable wine business.
The pair mutually agreed that they would never sell their respective interests in Miraval without each other’s consent.
Brad alleges in his lawsuit that Angelina sold her interests in the company in October 2021 without his knowledge.
He raised that he was owed the right to consent to the sale.
Brad is suing for an unspecified amount of damages and he wants the courts to declare her sale to be null and voided.
The Miraval estate is located in the French village of Correns and is surrounded by gardens, a chapel and its profitable vineyard that Brad has invested a large amount of time and money in.
According to documents secured by The Blast, the vineyard has become a “passion project” for the actor who has turned it into a profitable business.
The business has grown into a multi-million-dollar venture that has produced one of the world’s most desired rose wines.
The former couple purchased the chateau to share with their children Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Vivienne and Knox.
Back in September 2021 there was another legal battle over the business.
Last September Brad’s lawyers slapped the actress with a lawsuit for reportedly trying to offload her shares and cut Brad out of the business.
