Britney Spears’ ex-husband Jason Alexander has pleaded guilty after being arrested for stalking.
Last week, it was reported that Alexander – who was married to Spears for 55 hours in 2004 – had been arrested for allegedly violating a restraining order.
The pop star’s ex-partner, 40, was held at the Williamson County Jail in Tennessee and was charged with a violation of an order of protection and aggravated stalking.
Jason was allegedly found looking through Britney’s family’s gates and sharing snaps of his strange outing on social media.
District Attorney General Kim Helper told TMZ that Jason pleaded guilty to stalking in January and as a result was given a year’s probation.
He is also set to partake in a mental health screening and be submitted to random drug testing while also being banned from having any contact with the unidentified female victim.
This came as Jason’s third arrest in just 13 months, after previously being taken into police custody for driving under the influence and breaking security protocols at an airport.
A source told Page Six about how the family felt about him allegedly being spitted outside their homes.
The insider claimed: “They think it’s incredibly inappropriate and downright weird.
“It’s bad enough that the family has to deal with fans getting too close for comfort, but they’d like to think they can expect more from Jason, who claims to still have so much love and respect for Britney.”
According to reports, Jason turned up to Britney’s mother Lynne Spears’ Kentwood estate on Sunday night.
He went on to post two videos and a photo of the gates to his private Instagram account.
Jason captioned one post: “Daddy Spears hiding behind gates @britneyspears.”
Here he was referencing Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, who has been divorced from Lynne since 2002 and lives nearby in a motor home.
In a video he posted showing her Serenity estate, he said: “It looks like there’s some people there now. The mom’s there, anyway.”
An unidentified woman in Alexander’s truck could then be heard reciting a bizarre prayer cursing “every evil deed spoken or thought about” on Lynne’s property.
He had also revealed on an Instagram Live that he was planning to visit Britney’s childhood home, which Jamie, 69, sold for $275,000 (£202,373) in February 2021. Along with the camper that Britney’s uncle Willie Spears lives in.
Jason was married to Britney, 40, for merely 55 hours back in January 2004.
Britney is currently estranged from her family and announced earlier this year that they should be in jail for letting her remain under the restrictive conservatorship for 13 years.
