Chase's The Beast says he's been snubbed from I’m A Celeb despite losing 10 stone

The Chase’s Mark Labbett revealed that he has been asked to apply for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! four times – but his weight has always been an issue.

The famous quizzer confessed he’s been getting “jacked off” with the ITV show after being asked to apply to take part in the fan-favourite reality series.

Speaking at the National Television Awards, Mark said he would love to take part in the show, but things haven’t worked out well for him so far.

“I’m getting a bit jacked off about that. Especially now that I’m down to the weight I am.”

Explaining why he believes he’s been ruled out, Mark continued: “They really worry on I’m A Celebrity about big stars who have shut down.

“They don’t allow for the fact that a guy like me, 3000 calories is a diet.”

The quiz whiz added: “I’d love to do it. I know one thing I’m safe from – they’re never going to get me on a parachute!

“It’s just really annoying that they invite me in for an interview and then weight is mentioned and I’m out.”

A spokesperson for I’m A Celebrity declined to comment when approached by Daily Star.

Campmates who take part in the ITV reality series are on a heavily restricted diet of just beans and rice – which equates to 700 calories a day.

Sometimes they’ll get an extra treat if they scoop up enough stars in Bushtucker Trials, with desserts and other niceties finding their way into the campmates’ stomachs.

Mark stated that the limited diet wouldn’t be enough as the star also declared he gets “hangry” which would not go down well if stars missed out on the win.

Over the last few years Mark has put himself on a diet which saw the TV star famously nicknamed The Beast drop a whopping 10st.

Mark lost the weight by scrapping carbs and sugars while dramatically upping his protein intake instead.
