Coronation Street’s Aaron Sandford revealed the extent of his horrific abuse to girlfriend Summer Spellman this week.
Though Aaron insisted he was beaten up in the street, he was later seen fielding a suspicious phone call in which he vowed to be back soon – insisting he’d lost track of time.
And his attempts to lie to Summer only ended in heartbreak.

Now fans are sure he’s being abused by someone at home – and that his parental figure could be closer to the cobbles than first expected.
Though a relative newcomer who Summer met at her diabetes support group, Aaron has become a fan favourite after landing a job at the garage and promising to take Summer on holiday.
Various theories have floated around on social media, with some fans suggesting that Audrey’s son Stephen could be behind the abuse after spotting Aaron’s doppelgänger in the police station behind him.
Stephen headed to make a statement regarding Kevin Webster smashing up his car, but sitting behind him at the station was a boy who looked suspiciously like Aaron, gone to report his abuse – though the pair never saw each other.
One fan posed the question: “At the end of last night’s episode was Aaron sat beside Stephen when he went to give a statement to the police? Only saw the back of his head so it probably wasn’t.”
Another said: “It could have been. That’s why it was noticeable for us to see. If it is Aaron he’s probably there because of getting beat up. Which I think he gets from his dad or his mum.”
“I wonder if it was Stephen that beat Aaron…” a third said, as someone else said: “Omg that’s actually such a good theory!”
Viewers have also posited the theory that Stephen could have been the angry voice on the other end of the call after blowing up at Kevin in the street – and Aaron could be his secret son.
However, others have another theory – that Stu Carpenter could be behind the abuse after insisting to his long-lost daughter Bridget that he “didn’t hurt that girl”.
Taking to Twitter, one fan theorised: “Okay hear me out… Aaron’s being abused by someone, probably his dad. What if Stu’s his dad? He told Bridget he ‘didn’t hurt that girl’? #Corrie.”
They then followed up: “I’m just theorising but feel like it could be someone we know or a past villain.”
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8pm on ITV.
