Dancing on Ice fans have been left convinced that Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean aren’t the biggest fans of Brendan Cole.
Strictly Come Dancing professional Brendan has been tipped for the top spot since he was first announced as a contestant on the show, but viewers now think the hosts were trying to get rid.
Brendan, who danced in the semi-final on Sunday (March 13) to secure his place in the live final, was marked a 9.5 out of 10, after previously giving him full marks.
While it’s normal to not get a perfect 10, the judges failed to provide justification for their scoring.
Although Brendan took a slight tumble in his solo performance, his stint with Vanessa certainly impressed the judges.
Oti Mabuse and Ashley Banjo gave the pair a solid 10 out of 10, but Torvill and Dean knocked them down 0.5 of a mark each, leaving them with 39.
Meanwhile, both Kimberly Wyatt and Regan Gascoigne managed to get full marks from all the judges.
Fans of the ITV show couldn’t help but raise their eyebrows at the stint, with one user writing: “Jayne and Chris only gave Brendan a 9.5 for skating tonight, I don’t think they want Brendan Cole in the #DancingOnIce final – the last two weeks he got 10s off them.”
Another said: “Gorgeous but why are Chris and Jayne picking on him?”
A third person wrote: “So Jayne and Chris as you didn’t give a reply to Phil’s question why did you not give a 10 to Brendan when his dance was perfect, and Kimberley’s was not, why can we not for once have a programme that’s not fixed by the judges.”
One other fan stated: “Poor Brendan deserved 40 for that performance. Jayne ad Chris obviously want him out.”
However, it wasn’t Brendan who ultimately left the show, despite a double elimination.
Kye Whyte and Connor Ball both waved goodbye to the judges after failing to make it through to the live final, leaving Kimberly Wyatt, Regan Gascoigne and Brendan Cole in the final.
The winner of Dancing on Ice 2022 will be crowned in two weeks time on March 27, following delays due to football.
The FA Cup quarter final match between Nottingham Forest and Liverpool will be taking place at the same time and will be shown on ITV, so the Dancing on Ice final will need to wait the extra week.
Dancing on Ice resumed on March 27 on ITV.
