EastEnders actor Nigel Harman has found a new calling since departing the BBC soap 17 years ago.
The former soap star, 49, who played the role of beloved Dennis Rickman from 2003 to 2005, is now a meditation expert who offers his fans and followers advice on how to stay mindful.
The star believes in making mindfulness “simple and accessible for all” and states that meditation can help someone live a “more relaxed and fulfilled life.”

The TV icon refers to himself as The Meditating Actor on his website which offers coaching, workshops and other forms of guidance surrounding meditation.
The website says: “I started meditating over a decade ago and I’ve felt the positive impact it has had on my life and on those around me. Wherever in life we are, each of us will have periods where we feel we are out of step with ourselves, treading water, or even adrift.
“Taking a moment to Pause, Relax, Open, reconnects us with ourselves and the life that is here, right now, all around us. That’s why I want to help you get started or deepen your practice by sharing practical tips, techniques, and advice.”
Nigel’s character Dennis quickly became a fan-favourite on EastEnders, with his most memorable storyline stemming from his forbidden romance with his adoptive sister Sharon Watts.
On Christmas Day in 2005, Sharon discovered she was was pregnant with Dennis’ child and the pair made plans to leave Albert Square for good and start a new life in America.
But on New Years Eve, Dennis was fatally stabbed by one of Johnny Allen’s hitmen and tragically died in Sharon’s arms.
Nigel continued his acting career beyond EastEnders and it was announced earlier this month that he would be joining the cast of Casualty.
The actor has landed the role of new staff member Max on the BBC medical drama and has already started filming scenes for his first episode which are set to air in the new year.
An insider said: “Max is really going to ruffle feathers. He is a loveable rogue who isn’t afraid to say what he thinks. The writers have got some really big storylines planned for this character. He’s going to be at the centre of the action.”
