EastEnders Nish star's past TV jobs exposed – from Star Wars fame to Midsummer Murders

EastEnders Panesar family have been going through a tricky time of late – but things are about to get even more interesting with the arrival of their patriarch Nish Panesar.

Mum Suki Panesar has been struggling with her demons after she was led to believe she killed Ranveer Gulati by his son Ravi Gulati.

Meanwhile, she had also become estranged from her children Kheerat, Ash, and Vinny after they learned she was responsible for sending their brother Jags to prison for a crime he didn’t commit, the aftermath of which culminated in his murder behind bars.

Viewers were stunned to learn last week that Ravi – who has just been released from prison himself and been revealed to be having an affair with Ranveer’s wife Nina Gupta – is in fact Nish’s son, after he visited him in prison.

Nish is now set to get his release from prison and arrive in Albert Square – and both he and Ravi appear to have Kheerat in their sights as they hatch an evil plan to gain control of the Panesar family businesses.

Actor Navin Chowdhry is poised to bring his fair share of drama to the residents of Walford and eagle-eyed fans will easily recognise him from an array of previous roles.

Navin starred as cheeky teacher Kurt McKenna in Teachers

Since then the Bristol-born actor has put his name to a string of big productions including Casualty, Dalziel and Pascoe, Doctor Who, Doctor Foster, Midsomer Murders, Death In Paradise and Our Girl.

Navin landed himself a role in Star Wars
